Cycling Sports Group is recognised as one of the most significant global suppliers of bicycles and accessories. Founded on 1st October 2009 by Dorel Industries Inc. Cycling Sports Group UK is proud to present a truly unique and powerful portfolio of cycling brands to the UK market, continually striving to evolve our business through the very best products and service standards. The roots of the business were distribution company Hot Wheels International, originally a BMX distributor with over three decades of heritage, CSG was established in 2009 along with the introduction of American bicycle brand Cannondale joining an already illustrious portfolio including Charge, GT and Mongoose, and a range of accessories designed to enhance your riding experience. Today our brands also include the innovative Fabric parts which are warehoused at our head office in Poole, Dorset. Our dedicated and passionate team manage every aspect of the business from sales, marketing, accounts, distribution and customer service to support our growing network of retailers throughout the UK.

OUR STAFF


SVP & General Manager CSG UK
Russell Merry: Russell Merry is SVP and General Manager of CSG UK and has over 30 years of bicycle industry experience having worked in a family distribution business in the UK before its sale to Dorel in 2009. Russell also works with the global parts and accessories development team in Frome office who produce the Fabric brand of bike components. Bikes include a Cannondale SuperSix EVO, a Mongoose Canaan Team (26), a GT BMX Cruiser, Charge Plug, Strida folding bike and a GT Force…. So that’s a bike for every eventuality! Russell has two grown up kids, likes to ski and supports Arsenal!
Finance & Operations Director
Mark Broughton: Mark is our Finance & Operations Director, having overall responsibility for finance and warehousing functions. He is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with KPMG and worked with a wide range of clients. He has worked for Cycling Sports Group since 2010 with responsibilities including financial reporting, warehousing and logistics, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management. Outside of work, Mark can be found in the slow lane in his VW camper, jogging or cycling the various country lanes and trail ways of Dorset.
Territory Managers
Jon Watson: National Field Sales Manager. Jon has been with the company for over 17 years and brings with him over 30 years’ experience of the bicycle industry to CSG. He started as our first external sale representative covering Scotland, The North of England and Wales. Jon was prompted to Field sales Manager when Hot-Wheels were bought by Dorel. Working closely with Head of sales and the telesales team Jon looks after the 5 Account Managers.Jon has represented GB on many occasions riding Cyclo-Cross international and still competes regularly in the UK.
Dave Page: Key Accounts Manager. Dave has been with us since the Hotwheels years. He started in telesales, but was quickly promoted to field sales. He started out with representing CSG’s legacy brands locally, then for the whole of the South West, and finally the South East and London. When Dorel bought Cannondale and we became CSG, Dave became the territory manager for Cannondale in the Southern half of the UK, before being promoted again to his current role as nationwide Key Accounts Manager.
Josh Whiting: Territory Manager – North East and Scotland. Josh has been with us since 2013. Having worked in a bicycle retail environment and then in field sales for many years before joining CSG. Josh enjoys riding BMX with his sons who ride a WeThePeople Prime and a Curse 18″. He can’t however do backflips or 360s much to his sons disappointment. On bigger wheels we tend to see Josh more often than not on the Cannondale E-bike, Moterra LT1 or the if on the tarmac he has the stealth looking 2018 Synapse SRAM eTap.
Stephen Howes: Territory Manager – North West. Before the integration of Cannondale into CSG UK, Stephen was the northern area rep for the brand, after many years at CSG UK he continues to be the northern area rep focusing on the North West for Cannondale.
Adrian Turner: Territory Manager – London, South East and East Midlands. Ady has been with us since 2016. He has been in field sales since the mid-noughties after working the other side of the counter in an LBS for a number of years too. Ady is a mountain biker at heart but dabbles in road and ‘cross bikes too (depending on how much time he has to clean his bike!).
Gary Adcock: Territory Manager – South West. Gary came to us from a well known distributor and is an enthusiastic sales person.
Pacific Cycle UK Team
Nick Bennett: Pacific Cycle Customer Service. Nick started life at CSG as part of the Inside Sales team in 2014, coming from a 6 year stint in the Fitness and Leisure Industry. He is now the Customer Service contact for the Pacific business, working closely with Graeme, Sharon and Simon as part of the UK team. Nick is a keen mountain biker and loves a lunchtime bike build project, his favorite build to date is a custom built 2013 Charge Cooker SS 27+ bike.
Kerri Maytum: Pacific Accounts Coordinator & AP Supervisor. Kerri is the most likely to be on the end of the phone when you have an accounts query. She also handles all pro-forma accounts.
Hannah Adamson: Product Manager. Hannah started in Inside sales for CSG and then moved to Pacific Cycle. She then went on to become Product Manager for Pacific Cycle, focussing on the mass market. Hannah has been working for the Dorel company since 2013.
Head of Sales
Ian Wagman: Head of Sales. Ian started as a sales person back in the days when Hotwheels (now CSG UK) was a shop and has been the London rep, Midlands Rep and the South West rep, as well as being our business development manager in the years previous to evolving into his current position. Ian heads up our sales force as well as looking after some of our biggest customers such as Center Parcs.
Inside Sales Staff
Jordan Frampton: Inside Sales Manager. Jordan joined the CSG team in March 2017 as Inside Sales Coordinator. He enjoys riding anything with wheels but his main reason for road cycling is to justify his huge consumption of Cadbury’s chocolate buttons! Jordan has recently been appointed, Inside Sales Manager but hopes to one day win the Euro lottery and spend his time chilling out on the back wheel.
Louise Coffin: Sales Operations Co-ordinator. Louise has been with us for a year now and came to CSG as a keen mountain biker. She has a background in Elite gymnastics and loves being in the air and upside down. Louise Teams up with Dave our Key account manager to help out with all Key Account queries.
Mark Smith: Inside Sales Executive. Mark has been in the trade for over 20 years working in cycle shops as a manager and mechanic, although he loves all kinds of bikes from fat bikes to skinny road bikes fixed gear bikes are his bikes of choice.
Jack Hebron: Inside Sales Executive. Jack joined us after working as a bike fitter at local shops where he put his MSc in sports biomechanics to use. He enjoys anything on two wheels but given the choice he would put his full face on, take out his brain and scare himself going downhill, some time to his detriment.
Louisa Riddington: Sales Operations. Louisa joined back in 2013 at the age of 18. She has recently moved over to the sales function to help with the roll out of new projects and formalise how we look at dealer performance. She rides a Synapse and can often be found seeking refreshment at the pub after a long ride.
B2B & IT
Jethro Loader: IT & Ecommerce Manager. Jethro started in telesales and now looks after IT and the B2B website. He has a bike for almost every discipline of cycling imaginable, just a few more needed to complete the collection! Jethro will rarely turn down a ride and was once convinced to cycle to Africa! He has previously featured in some cycling publications.
Jack Partridge: B2B Co-ordinator. Jack joined the CSG inside sales team in 2016 after working as a barman. Jack is now the go-to guy for all things B2B. As a self-confessed Charge lover he currently rides a Plug 2 and Cooker 2 both fully adorned with anything Fabric. Jack is also the founder of ‘Hobnob Thursdays’ and is nearly never without a biscuit of some sort.
Product Managers
Ed Thomas: Assistant Product Manager. After starting his CSG journey as a member of the Warranty Team, Ed now works alongside Ash in Product Management. Ed came to CSG from Halfords and is a roadie, enjoying Sportive events. His love of long walks on the beach, sunsets and puppies may be sprurious rumours, but his standing as World Scrabble Champion 2004 is no laughing matter!
James Horton: Technical Service Co-ordinator. James joined CSG from our neighbours Primera Sports, bringing a sound knowledge of Cannondale bicycles and bike mechanics in general. He has recently taken on the new role as Technical Support / Lefty Service Co-ordinator. An avid racer, he has had success in a number of events, but likes to keep it quiet and see if people notice.
S&OP Team
Julian Browett: S&OP Manager. Julian joined CSG in May 2017 in a new role with the objective of better matching the supply of product in to the business with the sales forecasts from colleagues and customers. Short product life-cycles and long product lead-times are amongst his daily challenges. He is a recreational and commuting cyclist, with the bike addiction, ‘n + 1’. As a result, he has amassed a reasonable collection of bikes for most occasions. When not cycling with friends and family, he also enjoys sailing or just chilling to some Northern Soul.
Emily Bradley: Master Data Co-ordinator. Having joined CSG in 2013 she started in purchasing but as the company has moved onto SAP her role has changed. She is now involved in the day to day upkeep of the data within the system. Wherever Emily is at work, normally you will find Bekki and snacks close by… When not in the office Emily enjoys spending most of her time with her husband and their cats.
Bekki Maytum: Supply Planner. Bekki started work at CSG in October 2014 scanning and labelling stock in preparation for the stock take, this progressed into Special Projects Administrator whilst the company installed it’s new SAP system. In January 2016 Bekki started her permanent position as a Purchasing Assistant. Wherever Bekki is at work, normally you will find Emily and snacks close by…
Andy Harding Pitt: Demand Planner.
BMX Category Manager
Mark Noble: Mark Noble is the BMX Category Manager and hence takes care of all things BMX for CSG – which includes 3rd party media relations, sponsored rider team management, product management and design, social media, events and BMX projects, bike specification and brand management. Mark brings 25 years of experience to CSG, from working in many aspects of the BMX industry – primarily from launching and publishing market–leading magazines including RideUK and Dirt.
Marketing Manager
Clive Gosling: Clive Gosling joined CSG as UK marketing manager having links with CSG brands, having closely been involed with GT and Mongoose as a sponsored BMX and MTB rider. He joined CSG with twenty years experience in cycle retail.
Design and Marketing

Graham Upton: Marketing Technical and Demo Co-ordinator. Graham has worked in the bicycle industry for over 20 years worldwide, as well as working on the world series he is also an experienced racer and accomplished mountain biker.
HR and Office Manager
Allison Jenkins: Allison is our HR and Office Manager overseeing the back office functions of the UK business. She’s a valued and experienced member of the team and keeps all of our spending in check! She has recently been converted to the Electric Cannondale bike and is loving riding again.
Financial Controller
Dave Hearn: Dave is a CIMA qualified accountant who has been working with CSG since 2013. Dave assists Mark in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting within the accounts department.
When he’s not in the office Dave may be found out and about on two wheels – that could either be on his Cannondale FSi or his slightly faster motorbike. He also enjoys spending time with his family and walking his large German Shepherd dog in the Dorset countryside (as long as it’s not raining).
Accounts
Dan Walter: Credit Manager. Dan joined the company in February 2017. His career has mostly been within Credit Management for a multitude of different industries and he stands by his motto of “a sale is not a sale until it’s paid for”. Outside of work his time is spent mostly with his large young family, which includes two sets of twins (!!). He rides as and when he can, which is only ever a couple of hours at most. He rides a Cannondale Slate, which suites his needs perfectly as he can and does literally go anywhere in the limited time he gets to ride.
Sharon Luker: Management Accountant. Sharon has worked for the company for the last 14 years. She is the Accounts coordinator for Pacific Cycles. Sharon has spent the last 12 months renovating her house in Poole and is looking forward to finally move in. She can now add glossing and interior design to her list of talents. She is now hoping her partner, will agree to getting a sausage dog that she will name Sebastian.
Edwige Flecher: Credit Control Assistant. Edwige is our part time credit controller. She has vast credit control experience and enjoys speaking to our dealers. She is also a qualified personal trainer and spends a lot of her spare time in the gym, usually early morning 6.30am and weekends running outdoors. French born, Edwige moved to the UK and first lived in Birmingham where she perfected her English. She loves everything French, Champagne, Foie gras, Louis Vuitton etc. Edwige has 2 pet tortoises in the UK and another 9 in Paris.
Trudi Lackey: Credit Control / Sales Ledger. Trudi joined CSG in October 2017. She spent the previous 16 years in the motor trade industry working in various financial roles. Trudi enjoys going to the gym and is a bit of a Zumba fan. She also enjoys going for long walks along the beach, a stones throw away from her flat.
Charlotte Asher: AP Supervisor. Charlotte joined CSG in January 2017 as a Sales Ledger/ credit control clerk. She may not have been with the company a long time but she certainly has made an impression. Her bubbly personality is infectious and she has injected a new energy into the Department. She is now supervising the Purchase accounts section and ensures our suppliers are paid on time.. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys glass engraving and going to Sprinkles with her girlfriends. She has a cat called Alvin who is thoroughly spoilt by her.
Daisy West: Purchase Ledger Assistant. Daisy mainly deals with freight, organising inbound containers and processing invoices from both UK and overseas suppliers. Daisy currently works part time as she spends most of her week looking after her 2 year old daughter, Lily. Outside of work Daisy likes to bake cakes and hang out with her other mummy friends.
Warranty and Customer Service
Ben Winter: Warranty Manager. Ben is the final word on CSG warranty, and is firm but fair in his judgement. Breaking his back and neck several years ago whilst MTBing, he’s scaled back on the silly stuff now but still gets out riding off road whilst still regularly commuting in.
Sam Rogers: Warranty Supervisor. Sam joined the CSG inside sales team in March 2015, coming from 15 years in the hairdressing industry. She moved to the Warranty Team, January 2016. As a passionate bike rider across all disciplines, but still prefers Trail and Downhill riding. Every year she will go on a mountain bike holiday, usually to the French or Italian Alps, but next year so will be heading to Whistler.
Matthew Ellis: Customer Service & Warranty Technician. Matt joined the warranty team in February 2016, coming from 20 years in the motorcycle industry working for Harley Davidson then Kawasaki, and before that spent several years working in the cycle industry. Matt is a keen road rider but is more at home nowadays riding BMX with his son, he is also partial to a bit of skateboarding!
Mike Hayes: Customer Service & Warranty Technician. Mike joined CSG in the summer of 2016. Bringing 14 years of knowledge from different areas of the cycling industry to the warranty team. He loves all things bike, with the majority of miles currently being filled aboard his SuperX in search of new trails.
Workshop
Rob Hedges: Workshop Manager. Rob has been working for CSG since 2013 and has been working in the cycle industy for 17 years. He is responsible for day to day running of everything that goes through the workshop as well as being head Lefty technician. When he is not working on bikes he likes to go bike packing and mountain biking throughout Europe.
Chris Cole: Warranty Mechanic. Chris came from the Motor Industry and has been with us for over 2 years. He works with the Warranty Team and is involved in working on repairs, new builds and Lefty suspension and occasionally marketing bikes. When Chris is not working on bikes, he is snapping away doing Photography and tinkering with cars.
eBay Co-ordinator
Xavier Yeats: Ebay Co-ordinator. Xavier has been with the company for five years, starting off in the telesales team.
He rides a multitude of disciplines including Mountain (GT Sanction), BMX (2006 Standard TRLs 250).
Warehouse
Rachel Gibbons: Warehouse Manager. Rachel is a gym freak specialising in lifting heavy stuff and competes in the occasional Crossfit competition! Her current goal is to back squat 100kg… (only 2.5kg away!!) Rachel is responsible for managing the day to day running of the Poole Warehouse, her duties include Inbound and Outbound deliveries, International and Domestic shipments and monthly stock counts to name a few.
Richard Perrett: Warehouse Supervisor. Richard supervises everything going on in the warehouse. Prioritising incoming and outgoing deliveries, managing of stock, and making sure all the bikes go out as soon as possible. He’s been here for over 9 years and in that time has worked in three locations. Richard rides a Charge Mixer, when it’s not raining!
Lorna Lambert: Warehouse Assistant. A stalwart in the warehouse, Lorna’s one of the most experienced members of the warehouse team and is also in charge of booking in all deliveries. The only female member of the warehouse team, she still shifts more bikes than most of the guys. She rides a GT I-Drive 5 1.0.
Tom Giles: Warehouse Assistant. Tom joined the CSG Warehouse Team in October 2017 and has long experience in stock management and warehouse practices. When he gets the chance Tom likes to take to the local heathland, Purbecks and the New Forest on his F-Si.
Chris Wills: Warehouse Assistant. Chris’s work involves unloading lorries, loading lorries and picking and packing orders to make sure the shop has them on time.
